I have this GPS for number of weeks and that i like everything concerning it. I actually have been a Garmin user for four years thus failed to need to create a switch to different whole. The screen is good, it offers correct directions (I might validate on the routes I know). i will be able to understand a lot of in number of weeks after I leave for a extended trip.
I have not used the bluetooth nonetheless, some individuals complained concerning ads for real time traffic, I did see ads pop up however they weren't annoying in any means. If you do not understand this GPS tells the speed limit and also the car's speed show changes color from black to red if you drive faster than the speed limit. So, way I actually have been able to establish number of stretches where it showed wrong speed limit (off by five miles/hour). the important time traffic info is good, it shows a "red/yellow/green" icon within the left denoting how the traffic is and if it something apart from inexperienced it lists the delay you'll be able to expect in minutes. i'm pleased with my decide, got it on black friday and hope you relish the review!
The "positives" are that the unit is extraordinarily fast to select up and go, terribly sensitive and acquires satellites nearly instantly. It doesn't need an external antenna, actually i do not see anywhere to place one. This may be a "minus" for a few who don't desire to place the unit on the dash right underneath the windshield where it's most "view" of the sky. My biggest shock and disappointment was after I discovered that Garmin doesn't embody a user manual within the package. you've got to download a "generic" version applicable to an entire slew of models of that the 1400 series is however one. That was lame. My previous Street Pilot III had an excellent color manual only for it with EVERYTHING you wished to grasp however were afraid to raise in it. Cheap, cheap, cheap, Garmin !!!
I have one massive question the manual does not address: after I choose "Go To" and "Address" I actually have to place within the town on every occasion. Notably, it offers suggestions when simply some letters however.....the next time i would like to enter an address within the same town, I actually have to another time enter identical town a subsequent time. there's a "file folder" icon. I did push it and it displayed the 2 most up-to-date cities I navigated in. I pressed the one I wished however it failed to appear to require as a result of after I pressed "next" it came me to wanting me to enter the town ????? Strange quirk that ! i might have thought it'd immediately advance to enter street variety ???
